What I’m Thankful For – Thanksgiving Edition

In honor of Thanksgiving being this week, I wanted to write about some of the (many) things that I am thankful for. I am so very fortunate and blessed that if I wrote everything done in this blog post, it would be extremely long. So I’ll just keep it simple and tell you four things off the top of my head that I am thankful for.
My Family
One of the best parts of my life is undoubtedly my family. I am extremely fortunate to have two amazing parents who are still married (they just celebrated their 30th anniversary!) and two sweet younger sisters who are my partners in crime. I’ve not had the best past couple of years, but those four have been there for me every step of the way. I am so thankful for each and every one of them and love them so, so much!
My Pets
At my house, there are four animals that live with us. Out of those four, only Scooter is mine, but I love them all. We have one dog, a collie named Layla, and two other cats, Minnie and Pumpkin. Each has their own unique personality: Layla is a playful ball of energy; Minnie is the sassy, pretty princess; Pumpkin is a shy, adorable orange ball of fluff; and Scooter is my loyal snuggle buddy. All special and all loved beyond measure. (and a little spoiled too if I’m honest )
Doing What I Love
This year has been all about following my dreams. I made the slightly scary decision to bet on myself and focus on my business working from home. While it is nerve-wracking not to have a “normal” 9-5 job, I am much happier. I get to use my creativity and skills while also doing what I love. I am still very much in the early stages of my business, growing and marketing myself to the public, and while it is hard work, I am so grateful to be in this position.
Having a Safe, Nice Home to Live In
Living in a home is something that has been on my mind a lot recently. The pandemic has affected everyone in all sorts of ways, and many have suffered. It has made me appreciate things that I might not also think about, like having a roof over my head. Not only do I have a nice, comfy place to live in, but it also has everything I need and want inside. Honestly, there is so much to be thankful for.
