How I Organize... My Drawing Supplies
Since I have been collecting art supplies for over a decade, I have organized and reorganized everything I own. One aspect that helps me stay in order is to categorize. I separated the different products into individual sections based on their use. I have a drawing section, a painting section, a section for my hair bows, an area for packaging my products, a needlework and yarn section, etc. Today, I’m going to show you how I organize my drawing supplies.
Pencil Bags
Yes, I said bags, three to be exact. One holds all my colored pens, including the dual brush Tombow ones on some of my prints. The second smaller bag holds all of my drawing pencils and erasers. I like to have all these together, so they are easy to use when designing artwork. The last bag is the biggest of all and holds my colored pencils. I have many that the bag has two sections with individual slots for each pencil.
Desk Organizers
I have a few organizers of different shapes and sizes where I store the miscellaneous supplies for my projects: scissors, pencil sharpener, transfer paper, blending stumps, etc. It is also where I hold all my calligraphy supplies. I am currently learning how to write/draw calligraphy, and so this is a hobby right now, but I look forward to adding this type of work to my shop in the future.
Bookshelf
On top of the desk in my room, I have a three-tier bookcase that I use to store all sorts of supplies. It houses all of my drawing pads, types of paper, and art books. I have a few different kinds of paper, including sketch/drawing paper, watercolor paper, mixed media, colored cardstock, and printer paper.
And that’s how I organize my drawing supplies. Let me know down in the comments how you manage your art supplies!
